This photography session is aimed at beginners who own a DSLR camera and want to learn how to take better pictures. Do you want to know what all those settings and buttons do? Photography can be full of intimidating jargon. I can help you get to grips with all that and break all that down into easy to understand steps
This is an ideal course if you want to get to know the ins and outs of exposure, composition and how to make the most of any situation, whilst you’re in control of your camera not the other way around !! Students will learn how to operate their cameras in manual mode, make correct exposures and understand the basics like aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Bespoke photography workshops taught online using Zoom and completely tailored to you. You will be sent a recording of your session so that you can access it any time if you need to go over anything again. The aim is to give you a better understanding of how the camera works and you will gain an understanding and the confidence to go out and shoot great pictures.
This workshop is designed with a hands on approach we will be using our cameras from the word go and I will help to break down the barriers to learning without too much technical jargon!
Whilst we will be learning online we will have our cameras to hand and will be using the environment to hand, our rooms and gardens as our inspiration. I will guide you through all those tricky terms and help you gain a full understanding of all those twiddling knobs and buttons and get you using them.
I will also provide some PDF handouts with some of the more technical terms, for you to use whenever you like. There will also be photographic examples of things we have touched on during the session. If you have any questions after you’ve taken this course please do get in touch and I’ll be more than happy to help.
